Every cabin at Reinefjorden Sjøhus carries a name with a deeper meaning. Instead of choosing random labels, we looked to the landscape around us — to the places that have shaped life in the fjord for generations.
Each cabin is named after one of the small villages surrounding Reinefjorden. These communities hold stories of centuries of coastal tradition. By giving our cabins their names, we wanted to honour the people who lived along these shores long before us and keep their history close to our hearts. One of our cabins takes its name from the monumental mountain Festhælen, rising proudly in the neighbourhood of our resort.
The apartment buildings also carry names rooted in the heritage of Lofoten’s culture and the stages of traditional fish production:
When you stay in Vindstad, Festhælen, Tennes, Klippfiskbrygga or any of our units, you are not just stepping into a room — you are connecting to a piece of Lofoten’s living heritage.
These names remind us that every corner of the fjord, and the Skagen area as a whole, has a soul, a past, and a story worth preserving.
We hope that your stay becomes a part of that story too.
